It isn't swine flu, I swear

I haven't written in awhile, for a number of reasons:
1.) I was working on papers. Crucial papers. The last papers of my undergraduate career.
2.) I was in Milwaukee. Writing papers. Crucial papers. Also, eating Boca Brats.
3.) I've been job hunting. And moping. And eating anything in sight.
4.) I've been doing hot yoga to recover from the last bit of #3.

I've also been sleeping a lot, because that's what I'm best at. My roommate thinks I'm depressed, to which I must beg to differ. Heck, I'm starting a kickass editorial internship on Monday and going to visit one of my oldest friends in NYC on Friday. Plus, Spring has totally sprung, a la Sir Mix-a-Lot post itty-bitty-waist-and-round-thing-in-your-face sighting. BUT, aside from that, it's damn tough to go from a month of GO!GO!GO! to two weeks of slow slow slow. I've decided there can be only one solution:

I'm gettin' my nails did!

I've decided the only way to break out of my annual mid-Spring semi-rut is to get some banging acrylics. It's like retail therapy with a twist. I'm thinking shiny Blue background with gold detailing, maybe a vine print. I rather like the idea of getting a sort of vintage wallpaper motif, though I do have an affinity for the soda can concept. Thoughts? Suggestions? Surely my one occasional reader will have an opinion on the matter.
